This is a 104 cm (approx.) wooden katana inspired by Tanjiro Kamado's black Nichirin sword from the early arcs of Demon Slayer. It has a bamboo blade and is made for cosplay and display.
Where is it from?
A Nichirin blade changes colour the first time its owner draws it. Tanjiro's went jet black, a rare result that left his swordsmith Haganezuka furious. Black blades are said to belong to swordsmen who seldom become Hashira, which makes Tanjiro's story all the better.
How big is it?
- Overall: about 104 cm
- Sheath: shown in the photos, glossy black with silver ends
What is it made of?
Bamboo blade and a plastic handle. The photos show a black cord wrap over red diamonds, a silver pommel, silver collars and the round black guard with a spoked wheel pattern that fans know from season one. The blade is matte black from guard to tip.
Who is it for?
First-time Demon Slayer cosplayers, since this is Tanjiro's look from the start of the series, and collectors who want his original sword next to the later flame-guard version.
