This is a 104 cm wooden katana replica inspired by the sword of Jin Sakai in Ghost of Tsushima. It has a blunt edge and is made for display, cosplay and photography.
Where is it from?
Jin is a samurai of Tsushima who survives the Mongol invasion of 1274. To save his island he gives up the samurai code and fights from the shadows, and the people come to call him the Ghost.
What does it look like?
- Tsuba: black, with a lightning motif in orange
- Handle: white tsuka-ito over a black diamond pattern, with a yellow accent
- Saya: black with blue storm streaks and white cloud artwork
- Sageo: blue cord tied near the mouth
The gold-tone collar and sheath ends carry the Sakai clan crest.
How do I display it?
A two-tier stand shows it best, blade above and saya below, as in the photos. For photography, the white handle stands out against a dark background.
How do I care for it?
Keep it dry and out of direct sun. Wipe it with a soft cloth and store it in the saya.
